Brief Midday Stoppages on I-66 Weekdays Throughout August in Prince William County

FAIRFAX, Va. – Traffic stoppages of up to 15 minutes are planned to occur in both directions on I-66 between Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) and Route 29 in Gainesville during daytime hours beginning Thursday, August 1, and continuing on Mondays and Wednesdays for the remainder of August and into September, for small charge blasting operations.

Traffic Stoppages Planned on I-66 East and West Near Route 28 During Overnight Hours Wednesday, July 24

FAIRFAX, Va.– Multiple traffic stoppages are planned for I-66 East and West on Wednesday, July 24, between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m., so that Dominion Energy can pull cable across I-66 east of the Route 28 Interchange. Traffic on I-66 will be stopped in both directions simultaneously for up to 15 minutes each to accommodate the work, which is needed for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

New Temporary Traffic Change At Route 123/I-66 Interchange Starting On Or About July 22

Ramp from I-66 West to Route 123 North to close for approximately three months; Drivers will use temporary traffic signals, new right-turn lanes to access Route 123 North

FAIRFAX, Va. - Drivers traveling on I-66 West to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) North toward Oakton will use a new, temporary exit ramp beginning on or about July 22 for approximately three months. The temporary ramp will have two right-turn lanes and a traffic signal to allow drivers to access Route 123 North.
