I-66 East from Blake Lane to Nutley Street
Monday, Oct. 21, through Friday, Oct. 25: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Saturday, Oct. 26: 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.

Demolition of the Vaden Drive bridge over I-66 East will require lane closures. All I-66 East general purpose lanes will be closed between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m., and traffic will be diverted to the eastbound collector-distributor lane.

Tuesday, Oct. 22: 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Temporary ramp closure for paving operations. Traffic will be directed to make a left at the nearby traffic signal for the ramp from Route 29 North to I-66 West.

Ramp from I-495 North Express Lanes to I-66 West

Sunday, Oct. 20, through Saturday, Oct. 26: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Two left lanes will be closed on westbound I-66 for new Gallows Road bridge construction in center median. The ramp from the northbound I-495 Express Lanes to westbound I-66 will be closed nightly. Northbound I-495 Express Lanes traffic will be detoured to I-66 East then to Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) West, make a left at the traffic signal, then stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 West.

I-66 at Route 28/Sully Road

MAIN ACTIVITIES
Lane shifts and clearing continue on both Route 28 and I-66 in preparation for major construction activities. Clearing and grading are underway to create a new entrance to the ballfields at E.C. Lawrence Park and for the Poplar Tree Road bridge over Route 28.

Monday, Oct. 21, through Wednesday, Oct. 23: 9 p.m. to 10 a.m.
Two lanes will be closed for paving operations.

Tuesday, Oct. 22: 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Temporary ramp closure for paving operations. Traffic will be directed to make a left at the nearby traffic signal for the ramp from Route 29 North to I-66 West.

Ramp from I-66 West to Route 29 Centreville
Tuesday, Oct. 22: 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Temporary ramp closure for paving operations. Traffic will be detoured prior to the closure to Route 28 South, then follow signs to Route 29 South.

Ramp from Route 29 North in Centreville to I-66 West
Wednesday, Oct. 23: 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Temporary ramp closure for paving operations. Traffic will be detoured farther north to Trinity Parkway, stay to the left and make a U-turn, then stay to the right and follow signs to I-66 West.

I-66 East from Route 29 Centreville to Route 28
Thursday, Oct. 24, and Friday, Oct. 25: 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Two right lanes will be closed for paving operations. Additionally, there will be periodic full stoppages on the ramp from I-66 East to Route 29.

Friday, Oct. 25: 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Temporary ramp closure for paving operations. Traffic will be detoured farther east to Route 28 North to Westfields Boulevard West, stay to the right for Route 28 South, then follow signs to Route 29.

Route 28 South between Braddock Road and I-66
Sunday, Oct. 20, and Monday, Oct. 21: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Two lanes will be closed each night for crews to install bridge beams over Route 28. The ramp and two left turn lanes from Route 28 South to I-66 East will also be closed nightly. Traffic will be detoured farther south to Route 29 North, stay to the right and follow signs for I-66 East.

Route 28 North between Route 29 and I-66
Tuesday, Oct. 22, through Thursday, Oct. 24: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Two lanes will be closed on northbound Route 28. Drivers should expect periodic 20-minute full stoppages of traffic.

Ramp from I-66 East to Route 28 North
Tuesday, Oct. 22, through Thursday, Oct. 24: 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
The ramp from I-66 East to Route 28 South will be closed for crews to install bridge beams. Traffic will be detoured farther east to Route 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) North, stay to the right for I-66 West, then follow signs to Route 28 North.

Temporary 15-minute stoppages of traffic for blasting operations on I-66 East and West between Route 29 in Centreville and Stringfellow Road. Additionally, stoppages will also occur on the ramp from Route 28 South to I-66 West, and the ramp from Route 29 Centreville to I-66 East.

I-66 at Fairfax County Parkway/Route 286

MAIN ACTIVITIES
Lane shifts and clearing continue on I-66 in preparation for major construction activities. A retaining wall is being built between Jermantown Road and Waples Mill Road.

I-66 at Chain Bridge Road/Route 123

MAIN ACTIVITIES
Lane shifts and clearing continue on I-66 and in the Route 123 interchange in preparation for major construction activities. Part of the median has been paved temporarily to allow traffic to be shifted to the left. Box culverts are being built in the interchange to accommodate the future shared use path. A retaining wall is being built between Jermantown Road and Waples Mill Road.
