Major Travel Impacts This Week 

Ramp from I-66 West to Route 123
Tuesday, April 23, through Saturday, April 27: Midnight to 4 a.m.
The ramp will be closed for underground utility relocation and other construction activities. Traffic will be detoured farther west to Route 50 East, use the left exit for I-66 East, then follow signs to Route 123 North or South.

MAIN ACTIVITIES
Lane shifts and clearing continue on both Route 28 and I-66 in preparation for major construction activities. Clearing and grading are underway to create a new entrance to the ballfields at E.C. Lawrence Park and for the Poplar Tree Road bridge over Route 28.

Tuesday, April 23, and Wednesday, April 24: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Three lanes will be closed to implement long-term lane shifts for construction. Drivers should expect occasional 20-minute stoppages and slowdowns along westbound I-66.

I-66 East from Monument Drive to Jermantown Road
Thursday, April 25: 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Friday, April 26, and Saturday, April 27: 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.
Three lanes will be closed to implement long-term lane shifts for construction. Drivers should expect occasional 20-minute stoppages and slowdowns along eastbound I-66.

Lane shifts and clearing continue on I-66 in preparation for major construction activities. A retaining wall is being built between Jermantown Road and Waples Mill Road.

I-66 at Chain Bridge Road/Route 123

MAIN ACTIVITIES
Lane shifts and clearing continue on I-66 and in the Route 123 interchange in preparation for major construction activities. Part of the median has been paved temporarily to allow traffic to be shifted to the left. Box culverts are being built in the interchange to accommodate the future shared use path. A retaining wall is being built between Jermantown Road and Waples Mill Road.
