FAIRFAX, Va. – Closures are scheduled to occur during overnight hours on Sunday, March 24, and Thursday, March 28, on the ramp from Route 50 West to I-66 West and on Friday, March 29, on the ramp from Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) South to I-66 West. Closures are needed for construction activities for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

UPDATE: Work for Thursday, March 28, has been cancelled.

FAIRFAX, Va. – The ramp from eastbound I-66 to Route 29 in Centreville will be closed tonight (March 22) from midnight to 5 a.m. for repairs to a crash attenuator. Traffic will be detoured farther east to the Route 28 interchange where traffic will exit onto northbound Route 28, make a u-turn at the traffic light for Braddock Road and then travel south to Route 29.

FAIRFAX, Va. – Rolling double-lane closures will take place on eastbound and westbound I-66 between Route 29 in Gainesville and Route 50 during daytime hours on Tuesday, March 19, and Wednesday, March 20.

FAIRFAX, Va. – Traffic stoppages and a ramp closure are planned on northbound Route 28 and at the Route 28/I-66 interchange during overnight hours on Thursday, March 14.

UPDATE: This work will now be Wednesday night (3/13) only. Thursday night work is planned for Route 28 North and the ramp from I-66 East to Route 28 North.

FAIRFAX, Va. – Traffic stoppages and a ramp closure are planned on southbound Route 28 and at the Route 28/I-66 interchange during overnight hours on Wednesday, March 13, and Thursday, March 14.  Crews will be shifting travel lanes and setting up work zones for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

FAIRFAX, Va. - Closures are scheduled to occur during the overnight hours beginning Monday, March 11, through Wednesday, March 13, on the ramp from I-66 East to Route 28 North.

FAIRFAX, Va. – The ramp from westbound Route 50 to westbound I-66 will be closed during the overnight hours of Tuesday, March 5, between midnight and 4 a.m. Traffic will be detoured farther west to Route 608 (West Ox Road) South, stay to the right for eastbound Route 50, then follow signs to I-66 West. Closures are needed for construction activities for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

GAINESVILLE, Va. – Temporary stoppages of up to 15 minutes are planned to occur on Route 29 between University Boulevard and Heathcote Boulevard in Gainesville between 11 a.m. and noon on Wednesday, March 6, and Friday, March 8. Additionally, the ramp from westbound I-66 to northbound Route 29 (Exit 43B) will be temporarily closed for up to 15 minutes beginning at 11 a.m.
