I-66 Reduced to One Lane in Each Direction Around Bull Run Drive Bridge During Overnight Hours Saturday, March 7, for Bridge Demolition

FAIRFAX - Demolition of the old Bull Run Drive bridge over I-66 in western Fairfax County will require reducing I-66 to a single travel lane in each direction during the overnight hours of Saturday, March 7, from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m. Two-way traffic will run on I-66 East for about one mile while the portion of the bridge over I-66 West is demolished.

Overnight Closures of Ramp from Route 123 South to I-66 East Next Week

FAIRFAX –The ramp from Route 123 South to I-66 East will be closed during the overnight hours Sunday night, March 1, through Thursday, March 5, from midnight to 4 a.m. Traffic will be detoured to exit to I-66 West to the Route 50 Interchange, then exit to Route 50 East, then stay left to reach I-66 East.

Traffic Stoppages Planned on I-66 East and West Near Cedar Lane During Overnight Hours Next Week for Overhead Utility Work

FAIRFAX – Traffic stoppages and lane closures are planned for I-66 East and West near Vienna during overnight hours of Tuesday, March 3, Friday, March 5, and Saturday, March 6, so that an overhead utility line near Cedar Lane can be relocated. Lane Closures, Periodic Stoppages On I-66 East Next Week For Overhead Sign Removal

FAIRFAX - Drivers can expect overnight lane closures and periodic stoppages due to overhead gantry removal on I-66 East between Route 234 Business (Sudley Road) and Route 29 Centreville, and on I-66 East between Route 608 (West Ox Road) and Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) next week.

FAIRFAX – Drivers exiting from I-66 East to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) North toward Oakton will use a new ramp and traffic signal beginning on or about Friday night, Feb. 21.

Overnight Closures of Compton Road Under I-66 Planned for the Week of Feb. 18

FAIRFAX - Compton Road will be closed under I-66 during the overnight hours Tuesday, Feb. 18, through Friday, Feb. 21, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. while crews install bridge beams over Compton Road. The I-66 bridges over Compton Road are being widened as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

Lane Closures, Periodic Stoppages On I-66 West Thursday, Feb. 13, For Overhead Sign Removal

FAIRFAX – Overhead gantry removal will require three left lanes of I-66 West between Gallows Road and Blake Lane to be closed Thursday, Feb. 13, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Drivers should also expect periodic stoppages of up to 20 minutes between midnight and 4 a.m.  These closures are needed for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

Traffic Stoppages Planned Sunday Night on I-66 East and West in Centreville for Utility Work

FAIRFAX – Traffic stoppages and ramp closures are planned for I-66 East and West between Route 28 and Route 29 Centreville during overnight hours on Sunday, Feb. 9, so that NOVEC (Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative) can pull overhead lines across the roadway just west of Route 28. Work is needed for the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
