FAIRFAX – Several ramps within the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project construction corridor will be closed during the overnight hours this weekend and next week for various construction activities.
READ FULL RELEASEFAIRFAX – Three left lanes will be closed on westbound I-66 between Blake Lane and Route 123 during overnight hours, Wednesday, September 30, through Friday, October 2, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. nightly for overhead gantry removal as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project. Drivers should expect period 20-minute stoppages between midnight and 4 a.m.
READ FULL RELEASEFAIRFAX – The current ramp from Route 28 North to I-66 East will close beginning on or about Saturday, September 26, and be replaced by a new, temporary ramp about 250 feet farther north on Route 28. As part of this traffic pattern change, travel lanes on Route 28 North and on the ramp from Route 29 (Lee Highway) South to Route 28 North will be shifted slightly. These changes are part of several traffic pattern changes happening this year in the I-66 and Route 28 Interchange area as part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
