FAIRFAX – Demolition of the old retaining walls along the I-66 ramps at Stringfellow Road will continue this week and into the weekend, February 28 – March 7. For crews to safely perform this demolition, the I-66 ramps to and from Stringfellow Road will be closed nightly Monday, February 28, through Thursday, March 3, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., and beginning at 10:30 p.m. Friday, March 4, continuously through 5 a.m. Monday, March 7. Stringfellow Road North approaching I-66 will be reduced to a single travel lane during this period. This work is part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

FAIRFAX – All travel lanes of I-66 East approaching I-495 are planned to be closed Thursday night, February 24, and Friday night, February 25, to allow for installation of bridge beams for a new ramp from the future I-66 Express Lanes. Eastbound I-66 traffic will be detoured using I-495 South and the Route 50 Interchange during the closure. On Saturday through Thursday nights, February 26 – March 3, two lanes of eastbound I-66 will be closed with stoppages approaching I-495. This work is part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

FAIRFAX – All lanes of I-66 West near Stringfellow Road in Centreville will be closed during overnight hours Monday, February 21 for continued installation of bridge beams for a new access ramp for the future I-66 Express Lanes. Westbound I-66 traffic will be detoured using Route 28 North and Westfields Boulevard during this period. On Tuesday through Friday nights, westbound I-66 near Stringfellow Road will be reduced to a single travel lane with stoppages for this work.

FAIRFAX – I-66 East approaching Cedar Lane in Vienna will be reduced to a single travel lane during the overnight hours next week, Sunday, February 6, through Friday, February 11. The closures are necessary for continued overhead bridge work, installation of bridge beams for a new access ramp to the future I-66 Express Lanes, and demolition of the remaining old Gallows Road Bridge pier along eastbound I-66. On Monday through Friday nights, the single eastbound travel lane will be diverted behind barrier onto the old general-purpose lanes. This work is part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.

FAIRFAX – Demolition of the old I-66 bridge abutments adjacent to Stringfellow Road North will continue this weekend, February 4-7, during the daytime and overnight hours. The I-66 ramps to and from Stringfellow Road will be closed throughout the weekend beginning at 10:30 p.m. Friday, February 4, continuously through 5 a.m. Monday, February 7, as part of this work. Stringfellow Road North under I-66 will also be reduced to a single travel lane during the overnight hours during this period. This work is part of the Transform 66 Outside the Beltway Project.
